We define it as the amount of kW/h generated per square meter of solar panel per month.
For this we have used standard monocrystalline solar panels with south orientation, located in Madrid.
With this procedure we will compare the amount of electrical energy in kW/h produced each month throughout the different years.
That provides us with information about the evolution of the intensity of solar energy received in a specific geographical point, Madrid in this case.
This study began in January 2023 and collects information from then to the present, at the same point (Madrid), with the same orientation (south) and the same solar panel (microcrystalline).
The first confirmation we obtain is that the Solar Generation Index has increased by 26% in 2023 compared to 2022 and that it has been higher in 2023 every month except January.
